Romo was injured in the third quarter when he was sacked by the Eagles’ defense. FOX reported the injury as fractured left clavicle. It is too early to know how long the injury will keep him out of the lineup, but it could be several weeks. The Cowboys are already without wide receiver Dez Bryant, who suffered a fractured ankle in Week 1.
The Cowboys are now facing significant time without their Romo and Bryant, the team’s two top playmakers. Brandon Weeden finished the game off, and played well against the hapless, Eagles. Although he was a good stop gap today, he will be challenged going forwards as teams prepare to game plan for the Cowboys, sans Romo and Bryant. Romo’s injury has opened the door for the rest of the teams in the NFC East, even the 0-2 Eagles.
