‘You ain’t gotta go home, but you gotta get the hell out of here.’ That is what the Miami Dolphins told Joe Philbin today. The Dolphins 1-3, and losers of three straight, fired Philbin whose team lost 27-14 to the Jets Sunday in London. Philbin leaves with a 24-28 record since taking over the team in 2012.
The Dolphins named Dan Campbell, the tight ends coach, the interim coach. The Dolphins, who signed Ndamukong Suh during the off-season, came into the season with high expectations. But the Dolphins are ranked 30th in defense, including last in rushing, giving up 160 yards a game. The offense hasn’t been much better. It ranks 23rd in the league.
