When the game ends at most Black College football games, you don’t see people start heading for the exists. Nah, they are just settling in. For many, they are finally getting what they came to see in the first place, the battle of the bands.
The ‘Fifth Quarter’ battle of the bands is as much as a tradition as the game itself. Earlier in the 2015 season, two of the HBCU’s most celebrated bands, Southern University’s ‘Human Jukebox’ and Jackson State University’s ‘Sonic Boom of the South’, went at each other.
