African-American wrestling pioneer Leon Bailey was the first guest on a doubleheader version of ‘In And Out Of Sports’, hosted by D.C. talk show legend Butch McAdams.
Bailey was the first black man to wrestle for the United States Navy team at Quonset Point Naval Air Station in Rhode Island in the ’60s and would later become the Navy’s first black wrestling coach.
During the second hour of the show Butch interviewed Aaron Simpson, the nephew of the late Willie Adams, a Baltimore business icon during the hey day of ‘Black’ Baltimore,
