Florida A&M’s dismal season came to a merciful end today. The Rattlers were rocked 35-14 by rival Bethune Cookman University this Saturday afternoon at the Florida Classic in front of more than 45,000 fans in Orlando. The Rattlers, one of college football’s historic programs, finished the season 1-10, under first year coach Alex Wood. It is the first time in school history the Rattlers lost 10 games in a season.
Meanwhile, the BCU Wildcats (9-2, 7-1) earned a share of the MEAC title with North Carolina Central and North Carolina A&T. The Wildcats will now wait to see if they qualify for a bid to the Celebration Bowl, and the NCAA FCA playoffs. Linked below is more detail on the game from the Tallahassee Democrat.
