Well, Tiger Woods’ 2015 PGA Tour season is over. Woods needed to win the Wyndham Championship on Sunday in order to qualify for the Fed Ex Cup Playoffs that will begin next week.
Woods entered the final round of the event two strokes out of the lead, but never got anything going. In fact, he went to 3-over-par for his round after a messy triple-bogey 7 on No. 11.
Woods was able to gather himself, and play 3-under-par from there to finish with an even-par round of 70. But at 13-under, he was 4-strokes behind the winner, Davis Love, who finished at 17-under.
Love’s victory should give Woods, a ray of hope. Love is 51-years-old, and it was his 21st career victory. That should help Woods, who turns 40 in December, realize that there is still time to play winning golf.
