It is an absolute joke to see all of these who are so strident about standing for the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ these days. Before all of this went down regarding Colin Kaepernick, people sat, moved around, talked, went to the restroom, concession stands, and yes, many people stood in reverence, too. But now, people are just getting all taken aback. Not only are they upset when athletes choose to kneel, sit, or whatever, but they are pissed off when fans sit, too.
Before the start of last Sunday’s NFL opener in Detroit between the Lions and Cardinals, a photo of a black couple was taken sitting during the playing of the anthem.
It was posted on the internet with the caption ‘Ignorant Niggers.’ The post went viral. The post was from a Pontiac area business man. After first denying the post, he later admitted to posting the picture and the caption.
The Lions, who have a code of conduct policy regarding their fans, have banned the man from Ford Field.
