Black culture cartoonist Walter Carr and former Coppin State basketball player Gary ‘Tank’ Barnes were the guests on ‘In And Out Of Sports’ hosted by D.C. talk show legend Butch McAdams.
Carr was on during the first hour and he talked about his new book, ‘Just Us! The book captures the essence of black life in America through Carr’s renderings.
In the second hour, Barnes discussed his basketball career at Coppin State and his work introducing the game to young people, while also emphasizing life lessons that basketball can teach.
