Emmy award-winning filmmaker Beverly Lindsy Johnson and former NBA champion Tom Henderson were the latest guests on ‘In And Out Of Sports’, hosted by D.C. talk show legend Butch McAdams.
In the first hour, Ms. Johnson talked about her latest documentary chronicling the life of the late soul singer Billy Stewart. The film, entitled: ‘Fat Boy: The Billy Stewart Story’. Stewart was an incredible singer and performer who died in a car crash in 1970.
In the second hour, Butch checked in with Tom Henderson. Henderson was a member of the 1978 NBA champion Washington Bullets that included Hall of Famers Elvin Hayes and Wes Unseld.
The 6-foot-4 Henderson was a timely scorer, passer and lock-down defender for the Bullets. Henderson discussed his journey from his New York City hometown to the NBA, and the heartbreaking loss in the 1972 Olympic Games to Russia as a member of the USA Olympic team.
