Former D.C. Mackin basketball star George Gibbs and boxing ring announcer Henry ‘Discombobulating’ Jones were guests on the latest edition of ‘In And Out Of Sports’, hosted by D.C. talk show legend Butch McAdams.
Gibbs was one of the DMV’s most prolific shooters during his time at Mackin High School. In 1969 he was named to the DMV’s prestigious All-Metro team. Gibbs later worked as an assistant to Will Jones on the University of The District Of Columbia Firebirds basketball team (UDC), which captured the1982 NCAA II National Title.
