Larry Young, the former Maryland state senator, and Baltimore talk show host, and Alonzo ‘Cheese’ Holloway, the former Georgetown Hoya hoops standout, were guests on ‘In And Out Of Sports,’ hosted by D.C. talk show legend Butch McAdams.
Young served as a state senator from 1988 to 1998 representing the 44th district and was an advocate for Baltimore’s black community. Young’s advocacy created enemies, and he was expelled for ethics violations in 1998. However, he was later was acquitted. Young left the senate to work in radio at 1450 WOLB and is one of the country’s top hosts.
Holloway played for legendary coach John Thompson at St. Anthony’s High School in D.C. and in college at Georgetown (1973-74). Following his college career, Holloway worked as a Division I basketball official.
