Former Michigan State and Stanford University golf coach Sam Puryear joined the AfricanAmericanAthlete.com talk show on Tuesday to discuss his career, the Masters golf tournament, and the impact of black golfers on the sport beyond Tiger Woods.
Puryear is a trailblazer in the sport as a golf coach. He was part of a NCAA title team at Stanford University, and captured a Big Ten title at Michigan State University, where he was named the Big Ten coach of the year. Puryear played collegiately at Tennessee State University. He currently travels the world teaching and introducing the sport to young people. Linked is his interview:
