Pitiful George Zimmerman

Tragically, Parker and Ward were gunned down by a former colleague, who happened to be black, on live television. The shooter later killed himself. I only wished the shooter, if he were intent on dying, had shot hisself first. Parker and Ward did not deserve to die.

Of all the people in the world to speak out on this, was Zimmerman, who got away _ legally _ for killing Trayvon Martin, and unharmed kid.  Zimmerman  threw racial jabs towards this shooter, insulted the President, and implied the shooter’s  behavior is indicative of the African-American community. Not gonna even give his actual statement the time of day in this space.

Of course, many black folk are  well aware  that is the narrative some try to pull out when something like this happens. We also know that it is garbage. According to the FBI, white people commit 70.5 percent of workplace killings, and 77.9% of non-fatal violence in the workplace.   So, what that fool did yesterday is highly unusual among black folk.

But folk like Zimmerman want you to believe it is just the opposite. They will say when a white kid  shoots up nine people at a church, he is just a sick, lost soul.  A deranged black man shoots his co-workers, and it is symptomatic of the black community.

That is pure willful ignorance.

And the nerve of Zimmerman to speak after he, in my opinion, got away with murder.  He would do well to keep his mouth closed. While there are others who like to hear the garbage being spewed, there are many, many more, black, white and brown, who see right through him.
