On Tuesday’s African-American Athlete talk show we had an intriguing interview with Ray Scott, one of the trailblazers of African-American NBA coaches. Scott was one of the NBA’s pioneers on the coaching ranks, and in 1974 made history becoming the first black coach to win the NBA’s Coach of the Year award.
Scott joined hosts Rickey Hampton and former sports agent Brian Ransom, along with special guest, veteran sports journalist Ray Richardson of Minneapolis,in an enlightening conversation on the coaching profession, and how it relates to African-Americans.
