Simone Biles put on a dazzling, utterly dominating, performance at the United State Gymnastic Championships, posting the top score in every event on the way to winning to the title. It was the fifth national title of her illustrious career, and she is the first woman in 24 years to have the highest score in every event.
It was a uniquely special triumph for Biles, who among the many sexual abuse victims of former U.S. Gymnastics team doctor Dr. Larry Nassar. She wore a teal leotard to honor the victims. Nassar abused more than 100 victims and is currently serving 175 years in prison.
