Tracy McGrady never went to college, The former NBA all-star, who played for 16 seasons. went straight to the pros from high school. You can bet there was not an HBCU playing basketball in America that wouldn’t have liked to have had him on their team had he decided to go to college.
Well, in a way, every HBCU can say that T-Mac is on their team today. McGrady is the face of a fundraising effort that hopes to raise $105 million for HBCU schools. McGrady jump started the effort by donating $105,000. This is an great gesture on the behalf on McGrady that will no doubt impact the lives of many young African-Americans who are looking to attend college.
