The world of comedy lost Robin Harris far too soon. The comedian was just hitting his stride in the 1990 when he died of a heart attack. He was only 36.
Harris’ comedy was old school. He was gruff, confrontational, brutally honest and lovable. Be-Be’s Kids is still one of the classic comedy bits. Another laugh-out loud skit is regarding the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers. Understand, during that time in the late 80s the Lakers were perennial NBA powers, with Magic Johnson at the helm. Meanwhile, the Clippers were one of the NBA’s worst teams, and the little brothers of the Lakers in L.A.
