Lot’s of the HBCU’s have their cheer traditions from the home crowd. There is no way you will ever go to a Tennessee State University football game and not hear the Big Blue fans chanting “TS, TS, TS TSU!!!”, to the driving beat of the famed Aristocrat of Bands.
However, when it comes to students getting behind their football team, and just having one hell of a good time in the process, no other school in the country, does it as well as Tuskegee University.
With the fabulous Marching Crimson Pipers providing the sound, TU students pack ‘The Shed’ long before kickoff to get the party started. And the song that defines TU cheering section is ‘Ball and Parlay’: “Whether it’s sunny or gray, we gon’ ball and parlay, keep it crunk everyday. that’s the Tuskegee way.” Check out the video below for a taste of HBCU football tradition:
