I know, the start of football season is months away. However, it’s always a good time to celebrate one of the great traditions of Black College Football, and that’s halftime. For HBCUs, who wins the battle of the bands is just as important as who wins the game.
In Sept. of 2015, the Southern University’s Human Jukebox Marching band treated 92,000 SEC fans at the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium to a taste of the HBCU tradition.
The Jukebox showed up, and showed out. They gave the Bulldogs fans a scintillating performance that featured superb execution, showmanship and musicianship.
Georgia fans responded with a standing ovation at the end of the performance.
