If you are missing the African-American Athlete talk show you are missing some insightful information on the world of sports. In Tuesday’s episode, former USA Today sports columnist Chuck Johnson and Larry Lee, former NFL veteran and front office executive were guest on the show.
Johnson and Rickey Hampton, the editor of the African-American Athlete page, discussed the pressures and responsibilities African-American athletes face in their communities. That conversation comes on the heels of LeBron James being asked to sit out games in protest of the death of Tamir Rice. Lee joined the conversation later in the hour to give his take on what the NFL’s front offices are thinking, especially those who have to make coaching and front office decisions.
The African-American Athlete talk show can be heard every Tuesday at 10-11p.m. EST on the Talk2MeSports radio network.
