Johnny Jones who won a World Championship playing with the great Bill Russell and the Boston Celtics in 1968, was the featured guest on ‘In And Out Of Sports’, hosted by D.C. talk show host Butch McAdams.
Jones, a D.C. native, was one of the first black players to attend DeMatha High School coached by the famed Morgan Wooten, and played in college at Cal State.
In his rookie season playing for then player-coach Russell, Jones played in 51 games as the Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers for the 1967-68 NBA title. Butch and Jones discussed Russell and the Celtics dynasty and the great players o that era.
