Former NBA player Carl Nicks, who was the key teammate for Larry Bird at Indiana State, was the featured guest on ‘In And Out Of Sports’, hosted by D.C. talk show host Butch McAdams.
Nicks was a first-round draft pick by the Denver Nuggets in 1980 after teaming with Bird to lead the Sycamores to the 1979 NCAA title game against Michigan State led by Magic Johnson.
Nicks talked about Indiana State’s run to the NCAA title game, the greatness of Larry Bird, and his current work as a NBA pro scout for the Indiana Pacers.
