NBA legend Oscar Robertson made a personal trip to Oklahoma City to congratulate Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook on breaking his record for triple-doubles in a season. The Big O honored Russ prior to the Thunder’s home game with Denver on Wednesday night.
Westbrook snapped Robertson’s record of 41 triple-doubles set in 1961-62 with a stunning, 50 point, 16 rebound and 10 assist game against the Nuggets Sunday night. He capped his 42nd triple-double with a game-winner jumper from 35-feet. It was fitting in to what should be an MVP season for the former UCLA star.
