Also to no surprise, Southern’s ‘Human Juke Box’ marching band, quite literally and figuratively, blew away the University of Georgia marching band during the halftime performance. The Human Juke Box performed and executed brilliantly, dazzling the crowd of 92,000 at Georgia’s Sanford Stadium with style of showmanship they had never seen before. The band received a standing ovation from Bulldog fans.
In the end, it was a good day for Georgia and Southern. The Bulldogs got their win, and superb halftime performance, and the Jaguars got their $650,000 guarantee for the game. By the way, that $650,000 contract stated that Southern bring its band, which is typically never done in such matters. Nonetheless, the way the HBCU schools are being embarrassed against FBS schools, they would be better off if they just sent the band.
