I don’t know of a better bargain than an HBCU football game. Where else can you go and watch a game, and get a free concert all in one?  HBCU pre-game, halftime, and fifth quarter shows are worth the price of admission.

You can bet that at just about every HBCU game  you are  going to hear two classic songs:  ‘Say La La’ and ‘The Neck.’  Say La La was  originally recorded by “Pieces of A Dream’, and “The Neck” comes from Cameo’s ‘Talking Out The Side Of Your Neck’.  The two song are so popular they are probably known more from being played by the HBCU bands, than the actual recording artists.  When either of those songs are played, the crowd goes crazy.

I have posted the original recordings of each song, along with renditions played by Southern University’s ‘Human Juke Box’ (The Neck),  and Florida A&M University ‘Marching 100’ (Say La La). Also included is a poll asking you which song you like the best.
