DICK VITALE SAYS NCAA NEEDS TO PAY PLAYERS ON ‘AS GOOD AS IT GETS’ PODCAST

Longtime ESPN college basketball analyst Dick Vitale said there is no question that college players should be paid during his appearance on ‘Derrick Gervin’s As Good As It Gets’ podcast. “It saddens me because so many kids are taken advantage of,” said Vitale. “Everybody is making money out there. The head of the NCAA makes millions, TV…guys like me are making money, coaches are making millions, but what about the kids?”

Vitale also discussed his career as the head coach at the University of Detroit-Mercy (1973-’77), and later the Detroit Pistons,(1978-’79), before beginning his 40-year career as a basketball analyst for ESPN. Click to hear the interview.
