Floyd Mayweather is retired, but he is still capable of handing out a verbal whipping. The undefeated champion is plugged in to everything that is going on in the boxing world.
And if you take on the man who calls himself ‘The Best Ever’ he is going to strike back, just ask Adrien Broner.
Recently, Mayweather went after Broner, the WBA Super Light Weight Champion, in an interview with FightHype’s Ben Thompson.
Mayweather doesn’t like the way Broner is handling his business in the ring, and running his mouth out of the ring.
“He lose to Shawn Porter, then you fight for a world title right after that, for a vacant title; you and your opponent coming off losses,” Mayweather said “Me as a fighter, if I lost a fight, there’s no way in hell that my next fight I would be fighting for a title against another guy that’s coming off a loss. I wouldn’t even be proud or consider myself a champion.”
Mayweather then got after the man who calls him ‘big brother’ for his criticism of Floyd’s TMT (The Money Team), and Al Haymon .“I love my big brother Floyd Mayweather, but f&ck The Money Team!,” Broner reportedly said.
Floyd checked his ‘little brother’ again:
“He needs to be thanking The Money Team. Everything is under the same umbrella when it’s all said and done,” Mayweather said. “If you saying, ‘F&ck Al Haymon,’ you saying, ‘F&ck Floyd Mayweather!” If you saying, ‘F&ck Floyd Mayweather,’ you saying, ‘F&ck Al Haymon!'”
“Like I said before, I wouldn’t even be proud to say that I’m a champion. I like Paulie Malignaggi, and the fight between you and Paulie Malignaggi was tit for tat.“And then the first guy you fought for a world title, once again, it was in your hometown…He has a lot of growing up to do. If these fighters want to learn something, you know, come to Las Vegas, look me up, and we can sit down and I’ll go over the blueprint with you.”
