If there is ever anyone who can sense some racist B.S. coming a mile away, it is the great Hank Aaron.
The ‘Hammer’, who broke Babe Ruth’s home run mark, and finished with 755 homers during his storied career (1954-1976), is one of the greatest players in the history of baseball.
On the way to the Baseball Hall of Fame Aaron dealt with all forms of Jim Crow, racism, discrimination, and even death threats in 1974 as he chased down Ruth’s homerun mark of 714.
So, the Hammer knows exactly what is happening regarding Colin Kaepernick’s inability to land a job in the NFL. Aaron thinks the NFL owners have made it a point to not sign Kaepernick, who protested the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ before the start of games last season.
